The National Monuments Service's description

In undulating pasture, located on top of a low hill with extensive views.
A circular deeply sunken area (int. 24.5m N–S; 25m E–W) defined by a drystone wall facing (Wth 1.8m) on the vertical sides (int. depth 1.6m at N, 1.8m at S) of the sunken interior. The walling rises proud of exterior ground level to a height of 0.4-0.6m at NW–E, but elsewhere around the perimeter the external face of the wall is somewhat dilapidated or tumbled, with heaps of field clearance stone accumulated against it in parts. There is a break (Wth 0.8m) in the wall at N. The W half of the sunken interior is level, but the E half slopes down slightly to the E. According to local information, this enclosure was used as sheep pen.
