The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, located at the break of slope at top of a gentle N-facing slope, with a stream c. 10m to S, which feeds into another stream 200m to NE. Good views generally, particularly extensive to NW. Cultivation ridges on a roughly N–S axis area are visible in the surrounding field.
Slightly raised circular area (29.4m E–W; c. 27m N–S) defined by a low sod-covered stone bank (Wth c. 3m; int. H 0.4m at N, 0.2m at S; ext. H 0.85m at N, 0.35m at S). The bank is best defined NW–E, where its external scarp is enhanced by the natural fall of ground. Elsewhere, it is rather low and dilapidated; large stones protruding in parts, especially to E–SE, which may be remnants of external facing. The enclosing bank appears stony and may represent the modified remains of an earthen bank or the remains of a cashel wall. There is no clearly defined entrance gap.
A subrectangular quarry pit (6.5m NE–SW; 5.7m NW–SE; D 1m) is dug into the In the E half of the interior. It is bordered on the SW side by a sod-covered stony heap of upcast. Several other sod-covered stony heaps (diam. c. 5m; H c. 0.6m) are dotted around the interior. A property wall on an N–S axis cuts across the E edge of the interior. A rath (MA063-019----) located is c. 270m to SE.
