The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on a roughly E−W ridge, utilising a natural rise or knoll at the E end of the ridge. The location provides good view N−E over a flat expanse of mixed grassland and bog.
Raised, roughly circular platform (20.8m N−S; 19m E−W) defined by a scarp (H c. 1.5-1.7m), which is enhanced at WNW−SE by the natural slope (H 4-5m) of the ridge, with a particularly steep fall at SE−S. At SW−W the scarp is lower where it merges with the spine of the ridge, and this is one possible location for an original entrance; this area is now partly obscured by a field fence which incorporates the base of the scarp. Another possible location for an entrance is at N where the ridge falls away in a long ramp-like slope.
The interior is flat and featureless. A field fence skirts the W half of the rath, merging at W−SSW with the base of the enclosing scarp. There is a rath (MA062-037----) 300m to E.
