The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on top of a ridge, which provides extensive views over the surrounding gently undulating terrain. A stream/drain marks the townland boundary c. 100m to W.
Slightly raised oval area (28.7m NE–SW; 24.2m NW–SE) defined by a sandy earthen bank (Wth 2.7m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.9m, at SW), reduced to a scarp at NE–SSE. The interior is level and grassy, except in the NE quadrant where there is a slight slope down from centre to E. A field fence, on a NNE−SSW axis, cuts through the rath roughly centrally. A farm track skirts the rath at SW−NE; it lies immediately outside the bank, clipping its external slope in parts. There is a small pit/area of disturbance immediately outside the bank at SSW.
