The National Monuments Service's description

In a rath (MA062-017001-). A souterrain is shown on the 1837 edition OS 6-inch map in the N half of the rath, where it is indicated as a circular feature, annotated ‘Cave’; it is not shown on the 1919 edition. There is no obvious evidence of the souterrain in the E half of the rath interior, and dense overgrowth impeded full inspection of the W half. It is possible that a D-shaped raised area/possible hut site (MA062-017003-) roughly in the centre of the interior may mark the location of the souterrain.
