The National Monuments Service's description

On SE shoreline of Lough More. during a survey undertaken by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit Recorded in 1992 during a survey undertaken by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit of archaeological monuments in and around the lake, this monument consists of a row (L 2.5m NE-SW) of c. 40 close-set, upright posts located at, and extending parallel to, the current lake edge. The uprights are of varying sizes, and in a poor state of preservation. The majority are hazel, but some alder posts were also recorded. A number of horizontal rods were also noted lying at right angles to the uprights. One possibility is that the structure formed some sort of platform or jetty (Keane 1995, 166; Jennings 1995, 200 (MA-BN0008)).
