The National Monuments Service's description
Located in the NW of Ballymore Lough, close to the shoreline. This consist of a roughly oval stone cairn (13m NE−SW; 17m NW−SE) on a sand bank. The N side slopes steeply into the water, but the gradient is gentler elsewhere. It is largely tree-covered. When inspected in 1988 no corroborating evidence, such as timbers or bones, was noted, but the artificial appearance of the site, and its similarity to two crannogs (MA040-108----; MA040-075----), located respectively c. 100m and c. 170mm to E, suggested that this is a crannog.
