The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on elevated ground, with a fall of ground to N, in an area of sharply undulating terrain.
Raised circular area (diam. 25m E−W) defined by an earthen bank. The bank (Wth 5.4m at S; 5.6m at NNE; int. H 0.45m at S, 0.3m at NNE; ext. H 2m at S, 2.6m at NNE) has a low, internal stony lip, and a pronounced external slope. There is a low area (Wth 1m) in the bank at E, roughly lined with stones on the S side, which may be the site of an original entrance. There are several eroded gaps, broken down by farm stock, around the perimeter at W and N. A field fence, set 4-5m outside the bank, skirts the rath at ESE−SW, respecting its curve.
Interior under long grass and ferns; bank is thickly ringed with hazel, hawthorn and blackthorn scrub.
