The National Monuments Service's description
In the W half of a rath (MA040-020001-), close to the inner face of the bank.
A surface opening consists of a gap (1.7m NW−SE; 1m NE−SW) between two in situ lintels, one on the NE edge of the hole and one the SE edge. The opening gives access to the NNE end of a chamber (L 3.3m NNE−SSW; Wth 1.6m at N end; H 0.8m at N end, 1.3m at S end) which extends to SSE. The walls are of drystone construction, with a slight corbelling of the upper courses to support a roof of four large lintels. The chamber appears roughly ovoid in plan, broadest at the NNE end, where the current opening is, with gently curving walls narrowing toward the blind end at S. The floor slopes down gently from N to S, so that the chamber is highest at the S end.
