The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on a rise, with a more pronounced fall of ground on the W side. There are good views over the surrounding undulating terrain, although somewhat restricted by rising ground to NE and SW. There is a stream 50-60m to E.
This possible rath is not indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map, but is shown on the 1922 edition. It consists of a roughly circular, slightly raised area (diam. 14.5m N−S; 15.5m E−W) defined by a partly levelled earthen scarp (ext. H 0.6m at S), which retains a slightly raised internal rim in parts. A poorly defined gap or low section in the scarp at SE may be the site of the original entrance.
It is likely that this is a rath, although the diameter is at the lower end of the size range.
There is another possible rath (MA040-011----), also of small size, 40m to N.
