The National Monuments Service's description

On the E shoreline of Lough Conn. A causeway-like feature (L c. 40m E−W; Wth 20-25m) is indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map linking the mainland to an oblong island (c. 400m NW−SE; c. 120m NE−SW); on the 1930 edition a broad spread (Wth c. 65m) of stones links the two. A drop in the lake water levels has expanded the area of dry ground here, which is now covered in scrub.
