The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on a gentle W-facing slope, giving good views over a flat expanse of mixed pasture and bog. This rath is depicted on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure, and on the 1930 edition as a semicircular hachured enclosure (diam. c. 25m), open to the W, and bisected on the N edge by a field fence on an E-W axis.
The two third of the rath which lies to S of the E-W field fence was levelled in the early 20th-century, and no visible trace is now evident at ground level. To the N of the fence, a portion of the rath survives as a D-shaped area (23m E-W; 6.5m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.9m; int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.5m). There are three eroded breaks (Wth 1.6-2m) in the bank. Outside the bank at NW is a discrete shallow depression (Wth 2m), which appears to be an area of disturbance rather than evidence of a fosse.
