The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, in the SE corner of a subrectangular field, located on a rise in an area of undulating terrain. and The location provides extensive views to N over rolling pasture, with Nephin Mountain looms on the far horizon to SSW.
Oval mound or cairn (21m N–S; 17m E–W; H 2.5m at N) of earth and stones, with a domed profile, slightly flattened at top. The base of the cairn at E–S is incorporated into a later field boundary, which respects its curve, and another field boundary, oriented roughly N-S axis, skirts the W side of the cairn. Vestiges of an E-W field fence also appear to traverse the N-facing slope. Though classed here as a cairn, it is in fact uncertain if it is constructed predominately of earth or stones. It is largely sod-covered, with dense hazel and hawthorn scrub on the S arc, and clumps of gorse and brambles on top.
