The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on a ridge, with a steep fall of ground to NW–N, and extensive views over the surrounding sharply undulating terrain.
This possible rath is shown on the 1838 and the 1922 OS 6-inch maps as a circular, ringfort-sized enclosure (diam. c. 25m), named ‘Rathleenan’. It was destroyed during land reclamation; there is no visible trace at ground level. Field boundaries which abutted and lay adjacent to the rath have also been removed. There is an enclosure (MA038-039----) c. 100m to S.
