The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, located on a level ground in an area of gently undulating terrain.
Sub-circular rise (28.4m N–S; c. 30m E–W; H 2.9m) with a somewhat flattened top (diam. c. 6m). The curving slope on the W half is sharply defined but there is a broader, more gradual slope at SE. Several stones of various sizes protrude from the sod on top of the mound but form no structural pattern. A massive boulder rest on top of the NE end of the mound. A portion (5m E–W; 4m N–S) of the slope at ENE has been quarried out, and a smaller, shallower area of disturbance is visible on the S slope. A field bank (Wth 1.65m; H 0.7m) abuts the base of the rise at S. There are several similar rounded rises or small drumlin-like natural mounds in the surrounding landscape. This rise, however, appears more clearly defined; it may be a constructed mound or a modified natural mound.
