The National Monuments Service's description

On slight rise, which provides extensive views over the surrounding lowlying, reclaimed grassland, and expanses of rough heather-covered pasture and bog.
Slightly raised circular area (diam. 25m) enclosed by a stone bank. The stone bank survives W–ENE as a sod-covered, stony rise with a low internal lip (W 3m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.9m). Elsewhere it has an internal face of vertical dry-stone walling (H 1m) with a broad stony external slump (W 3m; H 0.95m). The nature of the original enclosing element is unclear –the stone bank appears to be the result of relatively recent modification of the rath, and its incorporation into later field walls. A field wall, reduced now to wall footings, bisect the interior roughly centrally on an ENE-WSW axis. The rath is densely ringed with blackthorn and brambles. There is another rath (MA038-109----) 200m to SE.
