The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on a rise with a fall of ground to W and NW, in an area of gently rolling limestone grassland bordered c. 500m to NW by the Deel River. Nephin Mountain is prominently visible to SSW and the Nephin Beg Range extends along the skyline to W.
This possible ringcairn consists of a circular area (diam. 16.3m) defined by a wall or stone bank (Wth 1.4m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.2m). The wall/stone bank has a clearly defined inner and external kerb of close-set stones, with a core of earth and stones, now largely sod-covered.
The interior is level and grass-covered. In the S half, a roughly circular spread (diam. 6m) of loose stones abuts the inner face of the enclosing wall. It is defined on its perimeter by a denser concentration of stones, forming a slightly raised rim (Wth c. 1.5-1.7m; H 0.15m). The significance of this feature is uncertain; it may incorporate field clearance stones.
A cluster of ringbarrows and possible barrows or cairns (MA038-050----; MA038-051----; MA038-052----; MA038-053001- to MA038-053003-; MA038-146----) are located in adjacent fields c. 200-400 to N and NE.
