The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, utilising a prominent natural rise, giving good views, especially S–W over the surrounding undulating landscape.
This monument is covered in an impenetrable thicket of blackthorn which impeded inspection. It appears to consist of a substantially raised, flat-topped earthen mound or platform (diam. c. 25m; H c. 3m). An earthen bank (ext. H 1.75m), set 2m outside the base of the platform, encloses the platform at S–NW merging with the natural slope of the rise, and a field fence, possibly incorporating the original external bank, curves around the platform at NE–S. At NNW a semi-circular area (max. dim. c. 10m) has been quarried out of the slope of the mound.
A hamlet/farmstead, located c. 150m to SE, is named ‘Moat’ on the 1838 and 1922 OS 6-inch maps.
There is a rath (MA038-040----) c. 120m to N.
