In lowlying average pasture, located on a low rise. There is a gradual fall of ground for c. 100m to S to the Deel River, which marks the townland boundary.
This monument is shown on the 1838 and 1922 OS 6-inch maps as a subcircular enclosure (diam. c. 20m), incorporated into a linear field boundary at NE and SW. It has been partly levelled. The western arc survives as a substantial earth and stone bank (Wth 3-4m; int. H 1m; ext. H 2m at W), which incorporating large stones, and has been adapted to serve as a field boundary. Elsewhere the enclosing bank has been entirely removed. The interior area is distinguished by a stony surface, disturbed in appearance. The enclosure is remembered locally as a ‘garden field’.
