The National Monuments Service's description
In rough pasture, located on top of a ridge, at the break of slope on the NE side.
Oval area (28.5m NW-SE; c. 25m NE-SW) defined by a scarp. At NW−S the scarp is topped by a low, sod-covered stone bank or collapsed wall (Wth 1.6m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.7m), and at S−W it is incorporated into an extant field wall (Wth 1m; H 0.7m), built of rounded stones and boulders. At NNW−NE the scarp merges with, and is enhanced by the steep natural fall of the ridge. The interior slopes down gently from NW to SE. A dense thicket of blackthorn covers much of the interior, making inspection difficult.
