The National Monuments Service's description

In undulating, average pasture, located on then S side of a natural rise, bordered at E by a lowlying area of wet ground. The Glenree or Owenmore River is 40m to S.
Raised oval area (12.1m ESE−WNW; 9.5m NNE−SSW) defined at W−ESE by an earth and stone bank (Wth 2.7m; int. H 0.35m; ext. H 1.4m), and elsewhere by a scarp (H 1.7m). It is built up at S−SW side to compensate for the natural slope and create a level interior. A slump (Wth 1.5m) in the bank at ESE may indicate an original entrance. The rise is scarped to form a small, semi-circular terrace (c. 4m ESE-WNW; 6-7m NNE-SSW) immediately to W of the enclosure, at a level 0.5m below the enclosure interior.
