The National Monuments Service's description
In the SE corner of a pasture field, in an area of undulating grassland interspersed with expanses of bog. There are farm sheds and a farmyard immediately to S. Human bones were found in a low rise or possible mound (MA029-058002-). According to local information, the rise or possible mound was quarried into in the early 1950’s to provide building sand for the construction of the current farmhouse. During the quarrying human bones were unearthed. The bones were reburied and the quarrying was stopped. Over time the quarried section face was eroded by farm stock, and in the late 20th century bones were again exposed. On that occasion a fragmentary skull, an intact jawbone with a full set of teeth, and a number of long bones were noted. Clusters of stones, described as resembling the outline of graves, were also evident protruding from the sod on top of the rise. At that time the bones were reburied by levelling out the exposed section face and grading off the mound. No bones or other evidence of burials are now visible.
