The National Monuments Service's description
Located in the W half of a graveyard (MA026-003002-), in lowlying ground on the N bank of the Owenmore River, close to a bend in the river. There are expanses of bog to N and S.
This ruined rectangular medieval parish church (13.95m NE-SW; 6.1m NW-SE; Wall T 0.9m) is constructed of mortared stone rubble. It is oriented NE−SW, but for simplicity, is described here as if conforming to the standard E−W orientation. The E gable is intact, and the N and S walls are upstanding, but damaged at their W end; the W gable has collapsed. The E gable has a single-light, round-headed window with a round-headed rear arch. At the E end of the S wall there is a plain, flat-headed single-light window, and at the W end of the S wall there is a round-headed doorway, with slightly pointed segmental arch; most of the dressed stone surround of the doorway is missing, but two portions of chamfered jambs are 'in situ'. There is a considerable build up in ground level within the church and in the immediate vicinity. A bullaun stone (MA026-003003-) lies against the external face of the E gable, at its S end.
