The National Monuments Service's description

Located on a S-facing slope, on the N edge of an expanse of rough, damp rush- and heather-grown pasture which borders the NE side of Curraghfin Lough. The drier ground upslope consists of good grass/pasture.
Semi-circular mound (c. 11m E-W; c. 7m N-S) marked by a growth of heather and gorse. The mound, which has accumulated against the rising slope, has a maximum height of c. 1.2m. An exposed section of the mound revealed a concentration of heat-shattered stones in dark grey soil. Another burnt mound (MA015-071001-) is located 10m to W.
