The National Monuments Service's description
In undulating pasture, very good views to NW. Annotated ‘Logveen Fort’ on 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map where it is depicted as a raised roughly circular-shaped area defined by a scarp, intersected at S and SW by post-1700 field boundaries. Described in 1999 as a raised sub-circular shaped area (dim. c. 42m N-S; 38m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 1.05m) with fosse (Wth at base 2.2m; ext. H 0.85m; ext. Wth 2m) from NW-N-E-S-SE, intersected from NW-SW by a drain running NW-SE. Fosse has been recut for modern drain. Modern causeway entrance gap (Wth 2.3m) at E. Interior level and SW third planted with oak trees and densely overgrown. Monument visible as a circular-shaped area defined by tree-lined fosse with trees in SW quadrant on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-2013 and on Google Earth orthoimages.
