The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on slight NNW facing slope with good views in all directions. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as a circular-shaped area enclosed by a bank, intersected at N by a post-1700 field boundary running E-W. Described in 1999, as a raised sub-circular shaped area (dim. c. 42m N-S; 38m E-W) defined by a scarp and quarried fosse (overall Wth 5.3m; Wth at base 1.6m; int D 2m; ext. D 0.4m). Monument visible as raised oval-shaped area defined by a scarp partially quarried away at SE on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-2013 and on Google Earth orthoimages.
