The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, with good views in all directions. An enclosure (LI050-018002-) lies to the immediate E and a cairn (LI050-019----) lies 35m to the SE. Shown on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a raised oval-shaped area enclosed by a bank from W-N-NE, reduced to a scarp elsewhere, intersected at NE by a post-1700 field boundary running NW-SE. Westropp (1919, 21) described it as one of ‘The conjoined rings of Baunteen, with a cairn near them, lying below the great “Harps” formed by coombs and parallel watercourses on the flanks of the Galtees.’ Recorded by the ASI in 1999, as enclosure A of two enclosures, consisting of a raised circular platform (diam. 18m) defined by a scarp (Wth 2.6m; H 1.6m) with possible fosse (D 2.4m; Wth at top 5.4m; Wth at base 2.4m) and drain or stream running NW-SE between enclosures A and B([LI050-018002-). Interior level and lightly overgrown. Scrub-covered monument visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-2013 and on Google Earth orthoimages.
