In rough pasture, 14m N of a watercourse that forms the townland boundary with Bohereenkyle. Not marked on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a raised sub-circular shaped platform (diam. c. 18m) defined by a scarp. In 1840 the Ordnance Survey recorded this monument as one of ‘four ancient forts’ in the townland (OSNB Abbeyfeale to Bruree, 191). Monument visible as a raised D-shaped area, defined by a scarp with fosse from S-W-N, truncated at E by a field boundary running N-S on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages.
