The National Monuments Service's description

In reclaimed pasture immediately N of the Morningstar River that marks the townland boundary with Glenlary. A possible ditch-barrow (LI049-233----) lies 90m to the NW. Not marked on 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a raised circular-shaped area (diam. c. 21m) defined by a scarp with fosse from SW-N-S. Truncated at S by the Morningstar River running NW-SE. Faint outline of partial cropmark visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13. Faint partial cropmark on Earth orthoimages.
