The National Monuments Service's description
Ó Danachair (1955, 213) recorded the following details about this holy well; 'Toberkinangle on 1840 map. "Not inserted on plan, not known by the inhabitants as found by particular enquiry. It is. A Well. Holy Well on plan".OSNB. From this entry in the Name Books it appears to have been doubtful even then. There is no tradition now'.
