The National Monuments Service's description

In level marshy pasture. Roughly semi-circular area (74m N-S; 98m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1.55m) with an external fosse (D 0.8m; Wth 2m); enclosing element is curved N->SW but otherwise is straight. Gap (Wth 2.4m) through bank at W with recent rubble causeway across fosse. On W side, interior is used as dump for rubble. Natural ridge runs E-W across interior; ground is marshy on N side of ridge.
