The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on steep E-facing slope. Square area (L 30m) enclosed on N, W and S sides by earthen bank (int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.2m) with external fosse (D 1.3m; Base Wth 1.8m), and defined on E side by steeply scarped edge (ext. H 3.5m). Gap (Wth c. 4m) in bank at SW corner. Much of site covered in overgrowth. Interior level. A series of rectangular areas enclosed by low earthen banks immediately W of enclosure are remains of garden of Lisurland House which stood c. 50m S of enclosure but has been entirely removed.
