The National Monuments Service's description
In reclaimed pasture, on the demesne lands of Bulgaden Hall (LI040-056----) which lies 367m to the W. A stream which marks the townland boundary lies 10m to E. An enclosure (LI040-230----) lies 75m to the SW. Possible remains of an ornamental pond or canal of post-1700 dated associated with Bulgaden Hall. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a long rectangular sunken shaped area (dims. c. 212m N-S; 27m E-W) defined by a scarp from SW-W-N-E-SE. Identified as an earthwork by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (AP 5/2116). Monument visible as a rectangular shaped earthwork on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages. No earthwork is depicted at this location on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map.
