The National Monuments Service's description

In walled garden of Bulgaden Hall (LI040-056----) the site of which is located 45m to S. Not indicated on 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as sub-circular shaped area defined by a scarp from N-E-SE with curving field boundary from S-W-N. Described by Westropp (1916-17, 22) as a small low mote. Scrub-covered monument visible on OSi orthophotograph taken between 2005-12 and on Google Earth orthoimages.
