The National Monuments Service's description

In wet unimproved pasture on the N bank of the Morningstar River that marks the townland boundary with Adamstown. One of four possible barrows (LI040-077002/005-) located on the N bank of the river. Identified as a possible barrow (Site No. 040197) during examination of aerial photographs (BGE 1/5000 2560) taken 03/11/1984 on the Bórd Gáis Éireann gas pipeline. No surface remains visible on Google Earth orthoimages.
