The National Monuments Service's description
In reclaimed pasture 50m SW of the Morningstar River that marks the townland boundary with Gormanstown. One of a group of three possible barrows (LI040-071001/003-) with a fourth (LI040-071004-) located 150m to E. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as a ring- barrow (site No. 040213) during examination of aerial photographs (BGE 1/5000 2558) taken 03/11/1984 on Bórd Gáis Éireann gas pipeline. Visible as a semi-circular shaped cropmark on aerial photograph (ASIAP (307) 17, 19) taken on 13/09/2002. Faint outline of monument visible on Google Earth orthoimage dated 14/09/2019 to immediate E of a farm track running NE-SW.
