The National Monuments Service's description

In reclaimed pasture, immediately E of townland boundary with Tankardstown, associated with a cluster of possible barrows (LI040-055002/006-). Not marked on OSi historic maps. Field system (Site No. 040238) identified during examination of aerial photographs (BGE 1/5000 2552) taken 03/11/1984 on Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline. Linear cropmarks visible on aerial photograph represent the remains of drainage channels and are not the remains of a pre-1700 field system.
