Church ruins described by O'Donovan as a 'mere ruin, but from what remains of it you may ascertain that is measured on the inside forty five feet [13.7m] in length and twenty feet [6m] in width. its west gable is destroyed down to the very foundations, as is also the south wall except two small fragments. A considerable part of the east gable remains, as also of the north wall, from which it can be seen that it was a very rude little building not more than four hundred years old. the east gable has a remarkably rude window, which is now disfigured on the inside and outside. The north wall is three feet [0.9m] thick and about eleven feet [3.3m] high' (OSL Athlacca Parish, 111).
Westropp (1904-5, 432) recorded the following details about Kilbroney; 'Tullerboy, Keilbruoiny,
between Athlacca and Tullorboy, 1410. Lewis says it was built by the Templars on their manor of Eoss Temple (i., p. 84). Fabric - It is 45 feet [13.7m] by 20 feet [6m]; fragments of the south and east walls, with defaced east window, remain; they are 11 feet [3.3m] by 3 feet [0.9m]. Well of St. Broney [LI039-012002-] near it'.
