The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, 110m SE of watercourse that forms a townland boundary with Ballynabanoge. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as a circular-shaped area enclosed by a tree-lined bank, intersected from SE-S by a post-1700 field boundary running NE-SW, intersected at NW by a post-1700 field boundary running NW-SE. Shown on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as sub-circular shaped area (dims. c. 21m N-S; 24m E-W) defined by a scarp with fosse and external bank from NW-N, incorporated into field boundaries from S-NW. Monument visible as a tree covered-earthwork delimited by curving field boundary on OSi orthophotograph taken between 2005-12 and on Google Earth orthoimages.
