The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, atop low hillock on a generally N-facing slope. Roughly oval area (28m N-S; 22m E-W) enclosed NE->NW by earthen bank (int. H 0.9m; ext. H 1.3m), with external fosse (Wth 4m; D 1.2m) SSE->NW; bank becomes scarp-like NE-SE where there is a sharp fall in natural terrain away from interior (H 5m; Wth 24m). Enclosing element is truncated by public road NW->NE; road, set in a deep cut (D 3.5m; Wth of road 5m) into side of hillock, runs straight on E-W axis. Earthen bank on N side of road, which arcs to respect former line of enclosing element, continues NW->SE along foot of steep fall; this is probably part of surrounding field boundary system. Enclosing element obscured by stone dumps at SE. Interior is level and under pasture.
