The National Monuments Service's description
In level pasture, on centre top of broad E-W running ridge. Oval area (34.4m N-S; 39.5m E-W) defined by scarped edge (H 1.1m; Wth 1.2m) with external fosse (D 1.1m; Wth 3.1m). Recently constructed entrance (Wth 4.7m) with causeway across fosse at ESE. Field boundary runs along outer line of fosse WSW->NW; field boundaries which abutted enclosure at NNW, SW and SE and crossed S end of interior have all been removed. Interior slopes gently down to E, is dry and in pasture except S end which is covered by overgrowth.
