The National Monuments Service's description
In reclaimed pasture 500m W of Newtown House. Enclosure (LI033-041----) lies 185m to SE. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Surveyed by the ASI in 2007 and described as a raised oval-shaped platform (dims. 25m N-S; 19m E-W) defined by a scarp (Wth 5.3m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1.15m) with possible fosse (Wth 10.95m; D 0.4m) that may represent a drainage channel. Monument is visible as a cropmark on OSi orthophoto taken between 2005-12 and on Google Earth orthoimages.
