The National Monuments Service's description

In improved pasture, 15m NW of forestry and 115m NW of the Ballynamona River. Conjoined ditch-barrows (LI032-263001-) are visible within the S quadrant. Possible field system situated within a rectangular-shaped field (250m NW-SE; 200m NE-SW) depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. Monument identified by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 186.02: AP 4/3609) as a series of linear cropmarks intersecting at various angles and possibly representing old field boundaries and collectively forming an ancient field pattern. The linear cropmarks are not clearly visible on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012, or on Digital Globe orthoimage taken 2011-2013 or on Google Earth orthoimage 25/03/2017. The field boundaries depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map are traceable on these orthoimages. Also visible is a long sinuous feature running NW-SE with some short, parallel linear cropmarks running roughly E-W toward it on either side. This may represent subsurface drains leading to a former watercourse that flows to the Ballynamona River.
