The National Monuments Service's description

In improved rough pasture, 420m N of a townland boundary with another portion of Grange and 1.4km NW of Lough Gur. Not depicted on OSi historic maps, although an annotation ‘Carraig-an-Chroimfhéir’ and the depiction of a rocky crag or rock outcrop to S, W and N would suggest that it is situated in a sheltered location. Monument identified as a trapezoidal-shaped cropmark by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 137: AP 4/3642). Monument is visible as a trapezoidal-shaped enclosure (42m N-S; 3m E-W) enclosed by an earthen bank on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012, on Digital Globe orthoimage taken 2011-2013 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 16/03/2016.

See attached Google Earth orthoimage and Bruff aerial survey image.
