The National Monuments Service's description
In grassland 114m W of townland boundary with Ballintaw and 160m E of townland boundary with Ballyculleen. Depicted on the OSi 25-inch map as a raised sub-rectangular shaped area (NW-SE 64m, NE-SW 52m) defined by a scarp with external fosse from NNE-E, SE-SSE and SW-W-N. Outline of monument visible on oblique aerial photograph taken 13/09/2002 (ASIAP (306) 31). Faint trace of earthwork visible on OSi orthophoto taken between 2005-12. Faint trace of external fosse at W visible on Google Earth orthoimage dated 16/03/2016, monument transected by a laneway running NNE-SSW.
