The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, 15m SW of a townland boundary with Cloghnamanagh. Enclosure (LI031-031----) and ringfort (LI031-029----) lie 175m to SW and 270m to W, respectively. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a roughly oval-shaped earthwork (34m NE-SW; 30m NW-SE) defined by a field boundary from W-NW. Classified by O’Kelly (1944, 49) as a ring-barrow and described as following: ‘This consists of a low bank inside which there is a fosse, while the centre is occupied by a low mound. The bank and fosse are continuous on the E, S and N sides, but on the W a modern fence has been built over them. The overall diameter is 90’ (27m) and the maximum height of the mound is 8’ (2.4m).’ Monument is visible as a roughly circular-shaped area defined by a fosse with external bank, on OSi aerial orthoimage taken 2005-2012, on Digital Globe aerial orthoimage taken 2011-2013 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 28/06/2018.
