The National Monuments Service's description
In undulating and rough upland pasture. Within field system (LI024-044001-). Not depicted on OSI historic maps. Identified as a small, oval-shaped cropmark, in the corner of a field, by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 76: AP 4/3681). Monument surveyed by the ASI in 2008 and described as a D-shaped area (overall dims. 9.5m NE-SW; 9.3m NW-SE) defined by a bank (Wth 2.3-2.6m; int. H 0.2-0.8m; ext. H 0.2-0.35m). A break in the bank at NE appears to have been an entrance. A fosse (Wth 1.6m; D 0.2m) is present from SE-S-SW. The interior is bisected by a bank (Wth 2.3m; H 0.2m at SE; H 0.35m) running NE-SW which leaves an oval-shaped area (4.9m NE-SW; 2m NW-SE) on the downslope to NW and an oval-shaped area (6m NE-SW; 2.2m NW-SE) on the upslope to SE. A gap (Wth 0.65m) allowing access between both is situated in the SW-end of the dividing bank. The remains of an old field boundary abut the monument to NE and a second similar boundary is approx. 2m to NW. Monument is visible as a roughly D-shaped earthwork (15m NE-SW; 14m NW-SE) on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012, on ASIAP (309, 28, 30), on Digital Globe orthoimage taken 2011-2013 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 18/11/2018. Duplicate site with LI024-304----.
