The National Monuments Service's description

On a large hillock which has been quarried out in modern times, 250m NE of a townland boundary with Boherroe. Possible barrow (LI024-035----) lies 50m to NE. Killeenavera House stands 200m to ENE. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OS 25-inch map as a circular-shaped platform (diam. 27m). Monument described by O’Dwyer (1964, 98), as a well preserved platform (diam. 87ft/26.5m; H 5ft/1.5m) defined by a fosse (Wth 6ft/1.8m) from S-W-N and which occupies a commanding position in the landscape. Monument surveyed by the ASI in 2008 and described as no surface remains visible. Levelled monument is not visible on Google Earth orthoimage taken 05/05/2002 where it has been incorporated into a modern disused quarry. Levelled monument is visible as a tree-planted area within a disused quarry on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012, on Digital Globe orthoimage taken 2011-2013 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 28/06/2018.
