In level pasture, on top of low lying natural rise. Circular area (8.9m N-S; 7.4m E-W; D 0.15m) enclosed by earthen bank (Wth 4.85m; int. H 0.15m; ext. H 0.2m), with external fosse (basal Wth 0.9m; overall Wth 3.75m; D 0.05m) and counter-scarp bank (Wth 4m; int. H 0.15m; ext. H 0.1m) WSW-WNW. Lazy beds (long-axis NNE-SSW) cut across the field, but respect monument. Dished interior may indicate excavation in antiquity.
