The National Monuments Service's description
Enclosure described in 1942-3 as following; 'This fort is very badly collapsed. It seems to have consisted of a bank surrounded by a fosse. The bank is mainly of earth but may have had a stone facing. The entrance is on the east side. Outside it there is a causeway across the fosse. The overall diameter is 212' [65m]. Immediately south of the entrance outside is a small rectangular enclosure built against the rampart. The walls of this are very collapsed. It measures 65' [20m] by 50' [15m]' (O'Kelly 1942-3, 227). Possible faint outline of levelled monument visible today on Digital Globe aerial photograph.
